CopyManager Privacy Policy

CopyManager (hereinafter referred to as "the Software") is a cross-platform clipboard history management tool. We value your privacy, and this policy explains how we handle your data.
Data Collection & Storage
Collection Scope
When you run the Software, it listens to the system clipboard. Collected content is limited to plain text, local file paths, and images that you actively copy.
Local Storage
All collected data is stored only on your local device. Text and metadata are stored in a SQLite database file (clipboard.db), and original images are stored in a local media folder (media/ directory).
No Cloud Sync
Clipboard history is not uploaded and the Software does not provide cloud synchronization. Network requests are limited to the purposes described below.
Third-Party Services
The Mac App Store build uses Apple StoreKit to process purchases. When you choose Submit in Feedback, your name (optional), email, feedback, app version, and operating-system version are sent to CopyManager support. The direct-distribution build also contacts CopyManager services for licensing and update checks and sends a daily activity record containing a random installation ID, operating system, CPU architecture, app version, and activation code when present. The Mac App Store build excludes that activity reporting, direct licensing, and self-update code.
Data Control
You can clear your history or delete specific items at any time within the Software. Deleting the Software or its local database will permanently remove all history.
4. Third-Party Services
Clipboard contents are never included in feedback, licensing, update, or activity requests. We do not sell clipboard data or use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. Apple processes Mac App Store purchases under Apple's own privacy policy.
5. Policy Changes
If we need to change how we handle data due to functional updates, we will update this document.
